Hey, folks!  I'm so glad that you're still with me on Cat Movie Classics!

I need to tally and announce the winners of Round #2, make more pictures, mail more prizes, etc.  But, time, of late, has been of the essense...  It is with great regret that I must announce that the next couple of weeks are going to be so hectic, I don't know if I can maintain the schedule of a daily movie.

I have a board meeting on Monday, another meeting Tuesday morning, then I set up for the water festival, then on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I'm teaching 380 kids about groundwater at the water festival.  Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, we are going to be 'out of pocket', and then Wednesday of the following week, I have one day to get ready for a meeting on Thursday, and big meeting Thursday, and another board meeting on Friday.

Based on suggestions from several participants, I would like to publish the NEW RULES for the Cat Movie Classics Contest!  These are effective immediately, AND are retroactive to Cat Movie Classics #21, Round #2!

A Cat Movie Classic Puzzle will be posted every day at 10 pm, Eastern Standard Time.  (That's 9 pm CST, 8 pm MST, and 7 pm PST)

Well, some Cat Movie Classic pictures turned out better than others!  I can tell that I'm improving, learning new techniques, and getting a bit better-- not that there isn't a LOT of room for improvement!

However, there are some that I like better than others, from an artistic viewpoint, perhaps.  (And for those of you out there that don't know me that well, I'm a scientist, not an artist.  So ANY improvement is a big deal to me!)

Please view the pictures below and see which one you like the best, from an artistic viewpoint, please-- and vote for your favorite!  (I want to see how I'm doing...)  Plus, I chose the ones that I thought turned out the best, from the techically difficult standpoint, too...

This is a little game/puzzle!  The object of the game is to guess the Movie Classic, from the picture provided. The hint may be a screen shot from the movie, or an advertisement that includes specific movie elements.  I'll post a movie as often as I can get it ready, using the cats, (uncooperative little beasts that they are), instead of people!  Twenty four hours after posting the picture, I'll give the Movie title!

This movie won 5 Academy Awards, (Oscars), for its portrayal of an American Family... (granted, no family that I know of, but, still...)

There seem to be hundreds of films about dogs, and dogs are the first animals anyone thinks about when they think about pet movies. But there are many of us who have cats, or have had them, and loved their cats. There is no reason why we too shouldn't enjoy movies about cats as much as about dogs.

Many years ago I had a cat that I shared a house with for 17 years. He was my buddy, and I'm dedicating this article to that cat I once knew so well. The article is limited to only 10 films chosen by its author, and they are not all necessarily ones I would have chosen.
